About the Author

Jack London (1876-1916), an American writer and adventurer, was born into poverty and largely self-educated but led an extraordinarily eventful life. He traveled extensively and was at various times a war correspondent, oyster pirate, seaman, horticulturalist, sealer, hobo, and politician.
